Home for the Holidays GDT for Frilly and Funkie

I'm very excited and honored to share with you today my creation
as GDT for the challenge at Frilly and Funkie

The theme is Home decor and what better then to have
an Advent calendar for the occasion

This Calendar is creating with all of Tim Holtz products except for the skies
the small sled, and the knobs.

I started with the Matchbox die and Kraft paper for all the drawers.
The designer paper is from his Seasonal 12 x 12 paper stash

For the Sled and the deer I used Nostalgic Kraft Core
Metallic paper for the dimensional star die

Wreath is made using the mini Holiday greens die

No dies for the gift bags and gifts, I used my score pad
and after a few attempts got the correct sizes

For the knobs, I used corsage pins, cut them to the correct length
and added a rubber earring backing.
I toned them down with Mushroom Alcohol ink
I also added a clear sequin for that extra sparkle

I used Tissue paper, collage glue and lots of clear glass crystal
for the perfect snow effect

Here is a look with drawers open

I'm so very pleased with my Calendar and it looks awesome
on my mantle

Winter for Paradise of Stamps

December 1st and a New challenge at Paradise of Stamps
Our theme for this challenge is Winter with an option of
adding a background with text

For my DT card, I used Wellington Christmas papers its a 6x6 paper pack
some lace, ribbon and cheese cloth

My image is a Whipper Snapper stamp called A Snowman's Best Friend
colored with Copics, I'm sorry I did not right the colors down

The sled is one of my favorites, its a die from Memory Box
I added multiple layers, inked with distress inks and then to add
some texture I heat embossed the planks with Frosted Crystal embossing powder
it gives it a kind of granular texture

I used Sizzix Woodland thinlit die for the trees
Cut twice using some double sided tape and adding glitter

Happy Halloween!!!!

I finished my haunted house, this is a project
that you can keep adding and adding

For the house and chimney I used paper from Kaisercraft
Base coat collection over a heavy cardstock with the help of my
Xyron sticker machine.

The fence is Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations
called on the Fence, heavy chipboard inked with
Hickory smoke and black soot distress inks

Roof is sandpaper which is inked with distress inks

For the windows I used acetate with crackle accents
when dry I ran my exacto knife creating broken glass

I stamped cobwebs in the window and if you look
closely you will see a black cat in bottom window

It's hard to see on picture, but with the help of my
glue gone I created strings of what looks like
cob webs.

I picked up a bag of moss from the dollar store
and added some black gesso here and there

I used silver foil and black gesso for the doors
and I have a pumpkin covered with moss

To carry the lighting to the top floor, i cut
part of the roof off before adding the top part
I also added a ghost dangling from a clear thread.
It looks awesome when the tea light is on

This was so much fun, now I'm starting to
play with winter scenes
